Following Bruce Willis' dementia diagnosis, his ex-wife Demi Moore has shown unwavering support for his wife, Emma.
In case you missed it, the family of the Die Hard actor, now 70, revealed the difficult news of his frontotemporal dementia (FTD) diagnosis in February 2023.
According to the NHS website, FTD is a rare form of dementia that impacts the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, leading to issues with behavior and language.

FTD typically starts at a younger age compared to other dementias and gradually worsens over several years.
This diagnosis was announced less than a year after Willis was diagnosed with aphasia, a different medical condition that impairs communication.
To shed light on frontotemporal dementia and the challenges faced by caregivers, Emma Heming Willis spoke with Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America for a special segment titled Emma and Bruce Willis: The Unexpected Journey, which aired on Tuesday (August 26).

Emma and Bruce tied the knot in 2009 and have two daughters, Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11.
Despite this, she faced criticism for deciding to move Willis to a separate, single-story home where he could receive continuous care.
This decision was influenced by factors like noise causing Willis distress and the challenge of having visitors, which led to a sense of isolation for the family.
Emma mentioned that they still share breakfast and dinner daily, and Willis' house is like a second home for the family.

In her interview, Emma shared: "First and foremost, I knew Bruce would want this for our daughters. He’d want them in a home that suits their needs, not his."
She added: "We spend a lot of time there. It’s our second home, so the girls have their things there too.
"It’s a home filled with love, warmth, care, and laughter. It’s heartening to see how Bruce’s friends continue to visit and bring joy and fun."
Willis also has three adult daughters with his ex-wife Moore, whom he was married to from 1987 until their divorce in 2000 - Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31.
The Substance actress has expressed her full support for Emma, defending the decisions made for her former husband.

In a recent episode of Oprah Winfrey's podcast, The Oprah Podcast, released on Tuesday (September 2), Moore expressed her 'deep compassion' for Emma.
She explained: "So much responsibility fell on Emma to navigate this journey, and the most remarkable aspect was acknowledging the importance of caregivers and ensuring they care for themselves.
"If they don’t prioritize their well-being, they can’t effectively support anyone else."

Moore continued: "I have immense compassion for Emma in this situation, as a young woman. No one could have foreseen this path, and I truly believe she’s handled it exceptionally well.
"She has been committed to finding the right path, balancing fear with strength and courage."
In the GMA episode, Emma also shared about the 'moments' when Willis seems like the man they knew before his diagnosis.
"It's his laugh, right?" she smiled. "He has such a hearty laugh, and sometimes you'll catch that twinkle in his eye, or that familiar smirk. It transports me."
Reflecting on when changes first began, Emma explained: "He seemed a bit distant, quite cold. Not like Bruce, who’s warm and affectionate. This drastic change was alarming and frightening."
